- Insurers who write property or casualty insurance in Canada - Reinsurers who reinsure those risks
Your
membership in the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction will
indicate to managers and policyholders of your commitment to both to
safety and the overall cost of property insurance. All licensed
insurers who write property or casualty insurance in Canada, and all
licensed reinsurers who reinsure those risks, are eligible for
membership in the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR). All
others are eligible for Associate Membership.

reinsurer members pay dues annually according to their company's net
written premiums. Members will be assessed $2,000 each year plus $20
per million of direct written premium in the previous year, and half
this rate for assumed premium.
